Basic Ways To Stay Safe Online!

Updated: Nov 11, 2022

The first thing I’m going to go over is links. Links are one of the most common methods of people getting your personal information. With a single click of a link, your information could be swiped. One of the best ways to identify if a link is safe or not is by viewing the very beginning of it. Some links will start with http, while others start with https. The s in https means the website is secure, however does not mean it’s 100% safe! This will only reduce the risk of malware, but will not completely eliminate it.

Another big thing you should know is to not ever click on any link you do not recognize! Unless the link sent to you is from a close friend or family member, do not trust it. It is much better to be safe then sorry. Another thing you should know i

s to never use a free VPN! A free VPN (Virtual Private Network) will give the person running it the ability to track your information online. It is worth the money to pay for a trusted VPN. Lastly, do not download applications / software on your computer that’s not from the official website source. Doing this can easily do irreversible damage to your computer! A lot of ways hackers steal your information and launch viruses is by tricking you into downloading unofficial software. If your going to download any content online, always download it from the official trusted source.

Thank you for the safety tips! Do you believe sponsored links are to be trusted to click on?

Replying to

Depends on the type of link. The ones I posted in this article are legit and are safe to click on.
